Volleyball Recap: East Rowan Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

East Rowan proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lake Norman Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was East Rowan who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 26-24, 23-25, 15-11.

East Rowan found their leader in freshman Emory Stewart, who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Stewart.

The victory got East Rowan back to even at 9-9. As for Lake Norman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

East Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against West Rowan on the 16th. As for Lake Norman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against South Iredell on the 16th.
