Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Centurions vs. San Clemente Tritons + Official Tickets

The Cypress Centurions are taking a road trip to face off against the San Clemente Tritons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress has given up an average of 59.7 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cypress is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Norte Vista on Saturday as they made off with an 86-66 win. The Centurions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, San Clemente fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Mater Dei on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 73-71. The Tritons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory made it two in a row for Cypress and bumps their season record up to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.5 points over those games. As for San Clemente, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Cypress beat San Clemente 62-52 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Will the Centurions repeat their success, or do the Tritons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
