Lone Pine and Rosamond squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lone Pine had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roadrunners. The Golden Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Lone Pine started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yesenia Alegre, who had 12 digs, nine kills, and two blocks. Alegre is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Violet Soto was another key player, getting 17 digs and four aces.

Lone Pine's loss dropped their record down to 16-12-2. As for Rosamond, their victory bumped their record up to 18-15-2.

Lone Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rosamond, they will host Fowler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
