Soccer Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport managed to keep up with Medical Lake until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Grizzlies lost 5-1 to the Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Medical Lake this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Newport and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Medical Lake, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Newport is set to square off against their familiar foe Northwest Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Medical Lake will take on rival Riverside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
