Basketball Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

Waynesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets 76-45. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Little Giants this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-34 last Friday.

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Wilson Memorial, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesboro has already played their next contest (against Riverheads), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wilson Memorial will look to defend their home court on Monday against Amherst County at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Wilson Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
