Preview: Welch Wildcats vs. Quapaw Wildcats
Welch has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Quapaw Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Welch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, Welch strolled past Bluejacket with points to spare, taking the game 51-33.
Among those leading the charge was Mason Clinton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Deighton Bellew was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Quapaw was beaten by Baxter Springs 72-41 on Tuesday.
The losses dropped Welch to 1-3 and Bluejacket to 0-6.
Welch didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Quapaw in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win. Does Welch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Quapaw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
