Basketball Game Preview: Mayde Creek Rams vs. Cinco Ranch Cougars

The Mayde Creek Rams will head out to face off against the Cinco Ranch Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Mayde Creek is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Mayde Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Bellaire on Tuesday. The Rams took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Cinco Ranch suffered their biggest defeat since January 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against Fort Bend Bush, falling 81-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Broncos are ranked 494th).

Mayde Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cinco Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Mayde Creek couldn't quite get it done against Cinco Ranch in their previous meeting back in January as they fell 70-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Cougars' Dylan Jones-Bynum, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 31 points and six assists.
