Basketball Recap: Wooddale Falls Short of Memphis Business Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wooddale can now relate to. They took a blow against the Memphis Business Academy Execs on Friday, falling 79-19. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Memphis Business Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tarrin Hill led the charge by dropping a triple-double with 19 points, ten assists, and 13 steals. Hill's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Curnesha Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine steals.

Wooddale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. The win was the 16th in a row for Memphis Business Academy, bringing their record for this year to 23-7.

Wooddale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memphis Business Academy, they will face off against Lakeland Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Memphis Business Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
