Basketball Game Preview: Fort Myers Green Wave vs. Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons

Fort Myers hasn't had much luck against Charlotte recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Fort Myers Green Wave will take on the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons at 8:00 p.m. Fort Myers is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Monday, Fort Myers earned a 46-37 victory over Cypress Lake.

Meanwhile, Charlotte was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop O'Dowd on Saturday, taking the game 61-54.

Fort Myers' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Charlotte, their record is now 9-5.

Fort Myers might still be hurting after the 53-29 defeat they got from Charlotte in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Fort Myers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
