Monroe came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets with a sharp 21-0 victory. The Redhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monroe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamir Jackson, who rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown. The Redhawks are 5-1 when Jackson posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Bryson Simpkins was another key receiver, picking up 127 receiving yards and one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Monroe's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Carlos Flores with two.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Forest Hills, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will face off against Smoky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
