Soccer Recap: Venture Academy Takes a Loss

Venture Academy and Lathrop squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Venture Academy had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lathrop Spartans who were credited with the win. The Lathrop Spartans got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Venture Academy Mustangs' four. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Venture Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Lathrop, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Venture Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lathrop, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Liberty Ranch on the 18th.
