River Valley extended their winning streak  to four  on Friday, bumping them up to 5-3. They blew past the Seton Catholic Sentinels, posting  a  40-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dust Devils, who have now won five matchups by 26  points or more  so far this season.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to River Valley's defense and their six sacks.  Deacon Maish was especially locked on to Seton Catholic's QB and sacked him three times. River Valley is undefeated when  Maish posts two or  more  sacks, but 2-3 otherwise.  Bradlee Abell got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
As for Seton Catholic, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record  this season. The  game marked their lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Despite the loss, Seton Catholic still got an impressive performance from   Coree Edwards, who rushed for 90 yards on only nine carries, and also caught one  TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 74 yards.
 Looking ahead, River Valley will take on Payson at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 11.4  points per game  this season, so the Dust Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Seton Catholic, they will square off against ALA - Ironwood at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Sentinels will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.38  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
