Volleyball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grandview lost against Chaparral back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Wolverines.

Grandview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-14.

Amelie Pigeaire paced Grandview's offense, picking up ten kills. Pigeaire got some help from Julia Ulitzky and her 15 assists. Ali Jefferies controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Chaparral can attribute much of their success to Ava Johnson, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Johnson has posted since back in November of 2024.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chaparral, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Grandview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Palisade on the 29th. As for Chaparral, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Castle View on the 29th.
