Baseball Recap: New Haven Extends Winning Streak to Four

New Haven waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Clawson Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rockets have posted since May 15, 2024.

Landon Wilcox was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Connor Abuan, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

New Haven pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clawson, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Looking ahead, New Haven will head out on the road to face off against Hazel Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clawson, they will challenge Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
