Baseball Recap: Leadership Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Leadership Academy won the last time they faced Clover Garden School and things went their way on Friday too. Leadership Academy came out on top against Clover Garden School by a score of 5-2.

Brayden Hatfield made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jafet Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Leadership Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5. As for Clover Garden School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Leadership Academy will square off against Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clover Garden School, they will take on Cornerstone Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
