Volleyball Recap: John F. Kennedy's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but John F. Kennedy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Cole Cougars by a score of 3-2. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

John F. Kennedy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Makalya Aragon paced John F. Kennedy's offense, picking up seven kills. Aragon got some help from Genesis Hernandez and her 14 assists. Marilly Castaneda controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

John F. Kennedy now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Cole, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

John F. Kennedy will head out to challenge KIPP Somos Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cole has already played their next matchup (against Holy Cross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
