It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jefferson West can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles on Saturday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Jefferson West saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Macy Malone had 11 digs and two assists. Malone has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Maranatha Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Macy Karlin, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Jefferson West's defeat dropped their record down to 25-13. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 37-5 record this season.

Jefferson West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Holton on the 25th.
