Basketball Recap: Enosburg Falls Comes Up Short

After flying high against Missisquoi Valley last Friday, Enosburg Falls came back down to earth. The Enosburg Falls Hornets took a 34-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middlebury Tigers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-26 on February 1st.

Enosburg Falls' loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Middlebury, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Enosburg Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middlebury, they will head out on the road to face off against Colchester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Colchester: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Middlebury has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
