For the first time this season, Highland will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Madison Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Highland will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Hillcrest on Friday. The Rams came out on top against the Knights by a score of 10-7. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cedar Lacey was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Molly Broadhead, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Madison suffered their closest loss since April 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Pocatello by a score of 8-6. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory made it two in a row for Highland and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Madison, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
