If Estes Park wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Platte Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Regan Edstrom. The Broncos claimed a resounding 44-0 victory over the Bobcats thanks in part to Edstrom, who threw for 159 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Platte Valley's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Platte Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jackson Hampton, Dominiqe Avila, and Skylar Maldonado picked up one apiece.

The win made it two in a row for Platte Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 8.75 yards per carry in those games compared to only 0.9 in the others. As for Estes Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Platte Valley and Estes Park will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Broncos will host the Saints at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
