Baseball Game Preview: Nezperce Nighthawks vs. Potlatch Loggers

Nezperce hasn't had much luck against Potlatch recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Nezperce Nighthawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Potlatch Loggers at 4:30 p.m.

Nezperce is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 17-2 to Clearwater Valley.

Carter Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Potlatch took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over Timberlake. The victory was familiar territory for the Loggers, who have now won four matches in a row dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Waylan Marshall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of William Yearout, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Nezperce's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Potlatch, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
