Landon Brewer leads Antwerp to victory over Kalida

Recap: Antwerp Archers vs. Kalida Wildcats
The Antwerp Archers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They slipped by Kalida 46-45. Given Antwerp's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Kalida is ranked 764th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landon Brewer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Zaine McMichael was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Antwerp's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Kalida, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Antwerp won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Jefferson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Kalida will finish 2023 at home by hosting Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
