Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Wolves vs. Elkins Elks

The Lincoln Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Elkins Elks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lincoln comes in on six and Elkins on five.

On Friday, Lincoln was fully in charge, breezing past Thaden 49-13. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Barnstormer are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Elkins took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-9 win over Thaden. The Elks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Lincoln has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Elkins, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Lincoln might still be hurting after the 74-54 loss they got from Elkins in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
