Softball Recap: Leesville's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Leesville was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 12-1 to the Hicks Pirates. The Wampus Cats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2015.

Leesville's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Hicks, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leesville will challenge Iowa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Iowa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Hicks, they will square off against Florien at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
