Softball Game Preview: Osceola Chieftains vs. Barron Golden Bears

The Osceola Chieftains will head out to square off against the Barron Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Osceola is looking for their season's first victory.

Osceola fell victim to Altoona and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Railroaders.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Barron was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Hayward, falling 6-0. The Golden Bears have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Barron now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Osceola couldn't quite get it done against Barron when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Chieftains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
