The Thompson Warriors will head out to take on the Central Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Thompson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mary G. Montgomery 54-0. Considering the Warriors have won eight matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

| 11/14/25 vs Mary G. Montgomery | 171.9 |
| 11/07/25 vs Carver Montgomery | 122 |
| 10/24/25 @ Prattville | 96.2 |
| 10/17/25 @ Hoover | 152.8 |

Trent Seaborn was his usual excellent self, throwing for 262 yards and four TDs while completing 93.8% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. What's more, he racked up 171.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September.
Thompson's run defense was locked in: Mary G. Montgomery could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. While five picked up at least seven total tackles, Bradlee Cocchiaro stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss). Thompson hasn't allowed more than 3.9 yards per carry in three consecutive games.
Thompson's defense didn't let Jeremy Menhennett, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Mary G. Montgomery's side was Cocchiaro, who picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Central won against Hoover last Friday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Red Devils strolled past Fairhope with points to spare, taking the game 34-15. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Pirates are ranked 34th).
Central's win came from a few key players Thompson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayshaun Woodhouse, who rushed for 128 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Kam Heard, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah Stevens and Brennan Core. Central got some further help from Marcus Price: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Central, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Heard, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Central's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points over those games. As for Thompson, their record is now 9-3.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Thompson and Central have no problem gaining yardage. The Warriors have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 404.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 438.1 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Thompson strolled past Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 21-7. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
