Martins Ferry had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 72-61 victory over the St. Clairsville Red Devils. The win was all the more spectacular given the Purple Riders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Red Devils are ranked 74th).

Martins Ferry's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for St. Clairsville, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.
