Basketball Recap: Titusville's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

West Shore came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Titusville, but Kennedie Sanders wouldn't allow it. The Titusville Terriers took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-28 victory over the West Shore Wildcats thanks in part to Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 12 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Titusville's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Braniyah Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 rebounds and nine steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times she's played.

Despite the loss, West Shore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reagan Hill posted seven points.

Titusville moved to 10-15 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for West Shore, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Titusville will square off against Eau Gallie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Shore, they will challenge Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Shore is facing Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
