Volleyball Recap: Dwyer Starts Season with Loss at Home

Dwyer unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the West Boca Raton Bulls on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

West Boca Raton had a senior duo take command as Maurice Sharaby had five digs and four aces and Donny Lam had 14 digs. Lam is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Coming up, Dwyer is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Jupiter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Dwyer their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for West Boca Raton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Western at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
