            Baseball Recap: Rochester Rams vs. Aquinas Academy Crusaders        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Rochester ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They beat the Aquinas Academy Crusaders by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  on Monday.

 Justin Schurr tossed a big game,   pitching 7.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Rochester's success: when he allows at  most two  earned runs the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
 At the plate, Rochester's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jett Williams, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and one  double. That  home run was  Williams' first of the season.  Cole Poplin was another,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base.
The  win  got Rochester back to even at 7-7. As for Aquinas Academy,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-12.
 Coming up, Rochester will take on Carlynton at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Aquinas Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
