League recap: Schriver throws longest pass in league this season for Fairview

Brock Schriver and Scott Andreasen provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Culbertson/Bainville. The connection was good for 64 yards, the longest such play in Eastern C (8 Man) this season.

Froid/Medicine Lake was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Honkers triumphed over Scobey/Opheim 46-44.

Fairview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Schriver threw for 248 and four touchdowns and Justin Bieber had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Cody Vitt chipped in 179 yards. Andreasen helped Fairview's passing attack out by catching three balls for 76 yards.

Jace Taylor made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors beat the Cowboys. The 6-foot-3 senior recorded one fumble and racked up two sacks.

Fairview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Schriver has thrown for 520 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Bieber has five catches for 110 yards. Vitt leads the league in rushing with 732 yards.

A big matchup in Eastern C (8 Man) this week will be when Wibaux takes on the Spartans. The Longhorns are currently in second, while Scobey/Opheim is in third.

Fairview extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Culbertson/Bainville, 70-12. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
