Volleyball Recap: Sarcoxie Has No Trouble Against Mcauley Catholic

Sarcoxie came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the McAuley Catholic Warriors 3-0 on Monday. The Bears not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Sarcoxie never let McAuley Catholic on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Alexis Letts paced Sarcoxie's offense, picking up 16 kills. Letts got some help from Jordyn Misner and her 30 assists. Bailey Branstetter and Breann Shumake kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Sarcoxie's victory bumped their record up to 5-9-3. As for McAuley Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sarcoxie will venture away from home to take on Seneca at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McAuley Catholic, they will head out to challenge Jefferson Independent Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
