The South San Antonio Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Winn Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South San Antonio is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

South San Antonio took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Harlandale 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since February 18th.

Alex Roman looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, South San Antonio's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Kela, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Winn earned a 9-4 victory over Southside on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

South San Antonio pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Winn, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

South San Antonio skirted past Winn 5-3 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for South San Antonio since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
