Basketball Recap: Patagonia Comes Up Short

Patagonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 53-43 to the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators.

Despite the loss, Patagonia still got an impressive performance from Diego Carranza, who almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Carranza is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

Even though they lost, Patagonia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Patagonia's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10.

Patagonia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-11 win against Valley Union on the 30th. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-56 loss against Arete Prep on the 30th.
