Baseball Recap: Pearland Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Pearland won the last time they faced Dobie and things went their way on Tuesday too. Pearland came out on top against Dobie by a score of 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Oilers.

Ethan Sullivan looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nicholas Partida, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Cade Adams, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Pearland's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Dobie, they moved to 9-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Pearland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dobie: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
