USA Baseball and MaxPreps announced on Monday, the MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award winners for the week of May 18-24, 2015.

Nick Sprengel, a senior from El Dorado (Placentia, Calif.), tossed a two-hit shutout and fanned 11 in gaining CBS MaxPreps/USA Baseball Player of the Week honors in the West Region.

DURHAM, N.C. -- USA Baseball and MaxPreps announced on Tuesday, the MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award winners for the week of May 18, 2015, bringing national recognition to the top-performing high school athletes in the country.
Representing eight national regions, -- Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and West -- players are selected based upon stats that are submitted to MaxPreps.com by coaches and team administrators. For players to be nominated each week, their coach must enter the athlete's game stats into MaxPreps by Sunday evening. High school coaches may obtain an access code to enter stats for their teams at maxpreps.com/cl.
The winners for MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award are as follows:
Great LakesCaleb Davidson, a junior at
St. Mary Central (Neenah, Wis.) High School, went 5-for-6 (.833) at the plate with six RBIs to earn the Great Lakes MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Davidson crossed the plate four times while slugging .833 and averaging an on-base percentage of .778 for the week.
Mid-AtlanticConnor Litton, a senior at
Southern Fulton (Warfordsburg, Pa.) High School, earned the Mid-Atlantic MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week after going 5-for-7 (.714) with five RBIs and five runs scored this week. Litton also tossed five innings, striking out 12 batters and allowing only one walk to get the win.
MidwestBraden Minor, a junior at
Eisenhower (Goddard, Kan.) High School, twirled 13 strikeouts to earn the Midwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Minor allowed only one run, three hits and one walk in eight complete innings of play.
NortheastMatt Marchiony, a senior from
Sutherland (Pittsford, N.Y.) High School, allowed zero hits and struck out 15 batters in seven innings of play to earn Northeast MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Marchiony was 1-0 for the week and did not allow any walks.

NorthwestBen Hall, a senior from
Lathrop (Fairbanks, Alaska) High School, was 9-for-11 with eight runs scored and two doubles to earn Northwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Hall also drew three walks for a slash line of .818/.857/1.000 for the week.
SoutheastHouston Roth, a junior from
Oxford (Oxford, Miss.) High School, struck out 10 batters in seven innings to earn the Southeast MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week honor. Levy allowed only one hit, one walk, and zero runs while earning the victory for his team.
SouthwestDurbin Feltman, a senior from
Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas) High School in Texas, notched 13 strikeouts in seven innings of play to earn the Southwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week honor. Feltman only allowed one hit, a pair of walks and zero runs.
WestNick Sprengel, a senior from
El Dorado (Placentia, Calif.) High School, dominated on the mound to earn West MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Sprengel fired seven innings on the mound, posting a 1-0 win, while only allowing two hits and zero runs. He struck out 11.
