Softball Recap: Yonkers Comes Up Short

Yonkers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the John Jay Wolves, falling 15-2. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Leila Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Yonkers' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for John Jay, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Yonkers is taking a road trip to square off against Hastings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for John Jay, they will be playing at home against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
