Chandler Prep has gone a perfect 4-0 against Leading Edge Academy - GEC recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Chandler Prep Titans will be playing at home against the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans at 5:15 p.m. Chandler Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15 runs per game this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Chandler Prep and Trivium Prep had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Chandler Prep put the hurt on Trivium Prep with a sharp 29-4 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Lucy Garner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Kate W was a standout: she got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Brackman, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
Chandler Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Leading Edge Academy - GEC fell victim to Chandler Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 19-0 to the Titans. That makes it the first time this season the Spartans have let down their home crowd.
Chandler Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chandler Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .398. However, it's not like Leading Edge Academy - GEC struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Chandler Prep's way against Leading Edge Academy - GEC in their previous meeting on Saturday, as Chandler Prep made off with a 19-0 win.
