Basketball Recap: Salesianum Has No Trouble Against Smyrna

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Elizabeth, Salesianum was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Smyrna Eagles by a score of 52-45. That seven point margin sets a new team best for the Sallies this season.

Salesianum is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Smyrna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Salesianum will square off against Sanford at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sanford will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Salesianum surely won't give up without a fight. As for Smyrna, they will challenge Cape Henlopen at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
