Basketball Recap: First Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

First Baptist Christian lost against Crosspointe Christian Academy back in November of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the First Baptist Christian Knights and the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers didn't end well, with the First Baptist Christian Knights falling 36-19. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 580th in Illinois, while the Panthers are ranked 277th in Indiana).

This is the second loss in a row for First Baptist Christian and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist Christian will venture away from home to challenge Suburban Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Christian's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Suburban Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they will square off against Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
