Baseball Recap: Paul Laurence Dunbar Comes Up Short

Paul Laurence Dunbar couldn't beat Canal Winchester on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Teppei Nagano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Canal Winchester, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Coincidentally, Paul Laurence Dunbar and Canal Winchester will both be playing DeSales the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Colts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
