Football Recap: Forest Hills Yellow Jackets vs. Franklin Panthers

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Forest Hills couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They and the Franklin Panthers were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered a 14-13 defeat. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Yellow Jackets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Noah Furr threw for 138 yards on 11 of 20 attempts. Demarion Hough was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.

Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addix Sutton, who rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Sutton has posted since back in October of 2024.

Forest Hills' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Franklin, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Forest Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin, they will challenge Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Red Tornadoes have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten games.
