Volleyball Game Preview: Buna Cougars vs. Orangefield Bobcats + How To Watch

The Buna Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Orangefield Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Buna didn't have quite enough to beat Hardin and fell 3-2. The Cougars have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Buna wouldn't go down easily and took Hardin into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Madysson Merkelz put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 20 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Orangefield had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1.

The victory got Orangefield back to even at 19-19. As for Buna, their loss dropped their record down to 18-18.

Buna came out on top in a nail-biter against Orangefield in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
