Football Game Preview: Xavier Prep Saints vs. Shadow Hills Knights + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Kingston Pellum and Jesse Rodriguez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Xavier Prep Saints will head out on the road to square off against the Shadow Hills Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Xavier Prep will be strutting in after a win while Shadow Hills will be coming in after a loss.

Xavier Prep took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 victory over Rancho Mirage.

Meanwhile, Shadow Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-33 heartbreaker at the hands of La Quinta.

Xavier Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Shadow Hills, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Xavier Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Shadow Hills in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
