The Timberline Wolves will take on the Ridgevue Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Timberline's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Ridgevue has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Timberline is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Rocky Mountain, who was ranked 15th at the time (Timberline was ranked second). The Wolves' pitcher stepped up to hand the Grizzlies a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Delaney Wright was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off three home runs and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Graklanoff, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ivy Norskog, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Timberline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Ridgevue scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 26-14 to Borah. While the Warhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 9-0 in the first period.
Hannah Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bristol Baron, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Timberline's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Ridgevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
Ridgevue's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Timberline hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. It's a different story for Ridgevue, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Timberline's hitters?
Timberline took their victory against Ridgevue in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Warhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
