Crockett extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Crockett Bulldogs vs. Onalaska Wildcats

The Crockett Bulldogs's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Onalaska with points to spare, taking the game 61-46. That's another feather in the cap for Crockett, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Onalaska lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shaylan Linear, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Tyerman, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Crockett pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Onalaska, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.

Crockett will head out on the road to face off against Tarkington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Tarkington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1179th, while Crockett is ranked 488th). As for Onalaska, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
