Soccer Game Preview: Western Wayne vs. Mountain View

The Western Wayne Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Mountain View Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Western Wayne will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Western Wayne's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Wyoming Area. It was an even better day for Jacob Wells as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Mountain View hadn't done well against Scranton Prep recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cavaliers, sneaking past 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mountain View's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Scranton Prep are ranked 367th).

Western Wayne's record is now 11-1. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 12-2-1.
