Skyline waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Greeley West Spartans by a score of 3-1. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Skyline had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Gabriela Medina-Valdez paced Skyline's offense, picking up 21 kills. Medina-Valdez got some help from Lizeth Medina-Valdez and her 33 assists. Marisol Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Greeley West, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Skyline and Standley Lake will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on September 3. As for Greeley West, they will face off against Rocky Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
