AAAA Region III recap November 19, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AAAA Region III this week, Northwestern beat West Florence 52-22. The victory was the 12th in a row for the team.
York took down Greenwood 42-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Mason Rudolph threw for 276 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Riley Hilton was the best wideout in the league this week as Nation Ford lost to Stratford. Hilton tallied 13 receptions for 127 yards. Hank Tuipulotu helped Nation Ford's passing attack out by catching 10 balls for 88 yards.
Northwestern's Rudolph and Dupree Hart have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Rudolph has thrown for 3,373 yards this season, while Hart has 80 catches for 1,215 yards. Fort Mill's Malik Long leads the league in rushing yards with 771.
The marquee game in AAAA Region III this week will be the clash between Kyle Richardson's team and the Cougars. The Trojans enters the contest ranked first in the state, while York ranks 10th.
So far this year, he has acheived 86 catches for 976 yards.
Northwestern led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Knights. Rudolph ran for 33 yards in the win.
