Basketball Game Preview: Moore County Raiders vs. Richland Raiders

Moore County will square off against Richland on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Moore County sitting on 13 straight wins and Richland on four.

Last Monday, Moore County didn't have too much trouble with Cornersville as they won 34-18. The 34-point effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Richland strolled past Fayetteville with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 67-52. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Tigers are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Richland's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Moore County, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Moore County came up short against Richland in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 40-35. Can Moore County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
